Position 1: Clinical Advisor, RMNCH-N Services
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Degree in Medicine, Health Officer, Nursing, or Midwifery, with MPH/MSC. A specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology is an advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of clinical service delivery experience, including Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARC) and Permanent Methods (PM).
- Experience in training, coaching/mentoring service providers, clinical supervision, and quality assurance of family planning (FP) and Comprehensive Abortion Care (CAC) services.
- Knowledge and experience with Ministry of Health (MOH) structure, strategic documents, and health service delivery systems.
- Experience in quality-of-care implementation at government facilities, clinical auditing, quality planning, and interventions.
- Experience in documentation and presenting findings, results, and lessons learned to different audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of global and public health policies, strategies, and standards.
Essential Soft Skills:

Position 2: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Lead
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Advanced postgraduate degree in Public Health with a background in health science (e.g., MD, Public Health, Nursing). A specialty in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Demography, or related fields is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years in monitoring and evaluating large, multi-year international health development projects.
- Familiarity with the Ethiopian health management information system, public M&E systems, and DHIS2.
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative methodologies, operations research, health information systems, and reporting.
- Proficiency in using statistical software packages such as SPSS, Stata, or SAS.
- Experience working on RMNCAH-N projects, managing PMP development, and implementation.
Essential Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data using visuals like graphs and charts.
- Proven diplomacy and the ability to work effectively with donors, stakeholders, and other partners.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and team-building skills.
- Fluent in English with excellent writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
Position 3: Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Medicine, Public Health, Statistics, Information Systems, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years in international public health focusing on monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems.
- Experience in high-quality design and implementation of MEL activities for international donor-funded health programs.
- Proven ability to analyze data and provide recommendations for project improvement.
- Experience working with partners/stakeholders to design, manage, and implement M&E plans.
- Strong communication, team-building, and leadership skills.
Essential Soft Skills:
- Knowledge of Ethiopian health systems and public health equity gaps, especially in rural and pastoralist communities.
- Ability to supervise staff, work with partners, and design and implement effective M&E systems.
- Experience with advanced statistical software like SPSS, Stata, or R.
- Fluency in English, with a preferred ability to speak local languages.
Position 4: Quality Improvement (QI) Advisor
Requirements:
- Educational Background: MD degree in Medicine or BSc in Health-related fields with MPH or MSc.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years working in QI and RMNCAH-N in program and service areas.
- Experience with MOH structure, strategic documents, health service delivery, and QI systems.
- Experience in clinical auditing, quality planning, and quality-of-care implementation.
- Experience in developing and presenting training materials for QI and RMNCAH-N programs.
Essential Soft Skills:

- Experience in mentoring and coaching staff in QI projects.

Position 5: Field Program Implementation Lead, RMNCH-N
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Master’s in Public Health or related fields with a background in Medicine, Public Health, or Nursing.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in management and administrative roles for public health programs/projects, specifically in RMNCH-N (Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child, and Adolescent Health) and Nutrition.
- Proven experience with health program management and administration, particularly within government health bureaus and stakeholders.
Essential Soft Skills:
- Strong administrative, leadership, and collaboration experience.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple activities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Position 6: Senior Lead, RMNCH-N Services
Requirements:
- Educational Background: MD degree in Medicine with a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology or related field, or MD with MPH and extensive experience in RMNCH-N.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in RMNCAH-N programs in Ethiopia.
- Experience in leading large-scale RMNCH-N quality of care improvement initiatives.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in family planning services, including long-acting methods, tubal ligation, vasectomy, and emergency obstetric care (EMONC).
Essential Soft Skills:
- Leadership and management expertise, with strong communication skills.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and work with government, community organizations, and private sector partners.
- Fluency in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Position 7: Technical Lead, RMNCH-N
Location: Addis Ababa
Reports to: Project Director
Summary: The Technical Lead for RMNCH-N will oversee the technical direction and execution of an anticipated project aimed at improving reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health and nutrition (RMNCH-N) in Ethiopia. This role requires leadership in the design, implementation, and monitoring of technical strategies to enhance quality healthcare services and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of technical RMNCH-N strategies.
- Supervise technical staff and ensure activities meet quality standards.
- Provide technical support for RMNCH-N interventions in training and healthcare facilities.
- Oversee preparation of technical reports and publications.
- Liaise with government agencies, donors, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- MD in Medicine (Obstetrics & Gynecology preferred) or related field with MPH.
- 10+ years of RMNCH-N program leadership experience.
- Experience in FP/MH/Newborn care and health systems strengthening.
- Proven ability to work with national and regional government agencies.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and technical expertise in RMNCH-N.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and management skills.
- Proficiency in English and MS Office.
