Job Overview
The Branch Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the activities of the branch office. The role includes ensuring compliance with the bank’s operational procedures, regulatory directives, and country laws. Additionally, the Branch Manager will drive the branch’s business development efforts and provide leadership in customer service excellence, overseeing both operational activities and sales initiatives.
The Branch Manager is also tasked with preparing annual budgets, work plans, activity reports, and participating in community engagements to promote the bank’s services.
Qualifications and Experience
Academic Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Management, Banking, Finance, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Behavioral Competency Requirements
- Strong leadership skills to foster teamwork, motivate staff, resolve conflicts, and direct the team toward achieving the organization’s objectives.
- Ability to drive and lead change initiatives supporting business strategies.

Technical Competency Requirements
- Understanding of general financial products and services.
- Experience in modern service delivery practices in medium to large banks, with a focus on quality improvement and operational changes.
- Knowledge of banking policies, processes, and guidelines to ensure compliance with standards.
- Ability to handle basic client inquiries and provide advice on resolving most issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and core banking systems.
- Project management skills.
- Oromifa language proficiency is mandatory.
