Position 1: Branch Operation Officer

Essential Functions:
Purpose of the Job: To facilitate and provide regular support to regional Offices/branches in their effort of branch expansion and resource mobilization.

Generic Functions:

  • Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices.
  • Adhere to internal control system and risk management program of the Bank.
  • Provide the concerned organ with timely, relevant, accurate, and complete reports on the plan performance.
  • Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct; embody the bank’s good culture and corporate image to the public.
  • Implement timely corrective action on deficiencies and issues that have been raised or reported different internal and external regulatory bodies.

Specific Functions:

  • Actively take part in developing and implementing strategy to provide the necessary assistance, facilitation to branches/regions in their effort of maximizing revenue;
  • Provide the necessary facilitation and supports to the smooth operation of regions /branches
  • Develop/review, and monitor the proper implementation of branch operation procedure
  • Compile regions’ enquiries for facilities and services from the Head Office and ensure they are all addressed as necessary
  • Handle other related duties as may be required.

Place of Work: Addis Ababa (South East District, Adama District.

Job Requirement:
Qualification: BA in Business Management /Accounting/ Economics/ Business Administration/ Finance and Economics or any other related fields

Experience: Three /3 years of relevant experience in banking   industry of which one/1 year on officer position.

Position 2: Internal Control officer (Under International Banking Département)

Essential Functions:
Purpose of the Job: To ensure the international banking department operation is in line with the Bank’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations of other governing bodies through continuously undertaking an independent and objective verification.

Generic Functions:

  • Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices;
  • Provide services as per the service level agreement.
  • Provide the concerned organ with timely, relevant, accurate, and complete reports
  • Check and balance every contingent account and report to the concerned organs.

Specific Functions:

  • Check and confirm every day-to-day IBD transactions.
  • Check and balance every controllable GL.
  • Assess and monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control and risk management processes by branches/districts/regions.
  • Undertake financial, operational, compliance, performance, administrative audits, for the bank’s programs and projects.
  • Review internal audit reports of branches /districts/ regions, and present to the concerned organ.
  • Check and balance every day`s NOSTRO Account statements.
  • Handle additional related assignments as deemed necessary.

Job Requirement:
Qualification: BA in Accounting/ Finance/ Business Management or any other related fields

Experience: Three /3 years of relevant experience in banking   industry of which one/1 year on officer position

Position 3: Performance and Succession Management Officer

Essential Functions:
Job Position: Performance and Succession Management Officer

Purpose of the Job: To plan and establish effective employee Performance Management system and succession management practices across the bank to enable it to fully utilize the potential of its people and meet future and changing business needs.

Generic Functions:

· Mentor & enable staffs below his/her grades towards achieving their effective performance;

  • Participate in developing, reviewing and implementing policies & procedures, plan /budget, performance report of the division;
  • Provide services as per the service level agreement;
  • Contribute to the bank’s profitability as per the target set;

Specific Functions:

  • Work with concerned organs to provide a rigorous and disciplined framework for assessing employee performance requirements, for rating actual performance against target/plan, for identifying key performance gaps; to bridge such gaps within acceptable timeframes;
  • Ensure that changes that affect performers’ targets by the Executive Management are amended in their respective scorecards;

Place of Work: Addis Ababa

Job Requirement:
Qualification: BA in Management, Business Management, Development Management, Public administration or   any   other related fields.

Experience: Three/3 years of relevant experience preferably in banking industry of which one/1year on officer position.

Position 3: Senior Compliance Management Officer

Essential Functions:
Purpose of the Job: To provide proactive and effective compliance management with Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorist Financing and other international and national regulatory requirements by designing and implementing a proactive and risk-based compliance management approach; implement due diligence on Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorist Financing activities.

Generic Functions:

  • Take up the roles of the division manager in his/her absence
  • Actively participate in developing, reviewing and implementing policies & procedures, plan /budget of the division
  • Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct; embody the bank’s good culture and corporate image to the public
  • Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices;
  • Provide services as per the service level agreement
  • Contribute to the bank’s profitability as per the target set

Specific Functions:

  • Propose and contribute to the development and revision of compliance, AML/CFT and KYC related policies, procedures, guidelines, standards and program; and monitor its implementation
  • Develop and implement compliance communication strategy and training programs on Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorist Financing targeted at promoting compliance awareness and culture across the Bank.
  • Conduct timely compliance risk assessments regularly on selected branches and other units of the bank for proactive mitigation of the potential risks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirement:
Qualification: BA   in   Business Management/ Accounting/ Economics/ Business   Administration/ Finance and Economics/ or any other related fields

Experience: Five/5 years of relevant banking experience in banking industry of which Two/2 Years on officer position
