Position Overview
The Branch Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling all banking activities within the branch office. This role ensures that all staff adhere to the operating procedures, rules, and codes of practice set by the Bank, regulatory directives, and national laws. Additionally, the Branch Manager will coordinate the sales and business development efforts of the branch.
The incumbent will also spearhead customer service initiatives and guide operational excellence within the branch. Responsibilities include preparing and submitting the annual budget, work plans, and activity progress reports. The Branch Manager will engage with the community and maintain strong connections with the business community to promote the Bank’s services.
Candidate Profile
Education & Professional Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field (e.g., Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration).
Experience:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory position.

Required Technical Competencies:

- Knowledge and experience in modern service delivery practices in medium to large banks, providing guidance on quality improvements and operational changes.
- Familiarity with all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines to meet compliance standards.
- Ability to respond to client inquiries and provide advice and solutions to various issues and requests.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with Core Banking Systems and other in-house software.
- Project management skills.
