Job Summary
The Senior Attorney pleads cases and represents the company before judicial and quasi-judicial organs. The position holder prepares pleadings based on the legal requirements as stipulated in the civil procedure code and other relevant laws before a court of law in Ethiopia.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare draft pleadings including petitions, defenses and other pleadings as required by the Ethiopian Civil Procedure Code
- Conduct investigations and research to support cases including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
- Represent the company in oral litigation and witness examination before judicial and quasi-judicial organs
- Conduct and follow up court proceedings until a final decision is rendered on the case
- Open execution files and follow up on the effective execution of court judgments rendered in favor of the company.
- Conduct research on the causes of the legal cases and make recommendations on remedial actions
- Coordinate and follow up on the documentation and retrieval of court case files

Experience
- 6 years of work experience
