Digital Service Manager
Our company will develop, in Ethiopia, an oilseeds clusters program to source from contracted out-growers (cluster of farmers, commercial farmers) and oilseeds grains integrators (traders/coops/…) large quantities various oilseeds (sesame, soybeans, sunflower, rapeseeds, groundnuts) to supply its Solvent Extraction Plants.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinating and managing the organization’s design and use of SAAS software, ERP software of master files, roles, user views, data control, reporting, and data integrity,
Defining a maintenance and update planning, overseeing and executing on-going maintenance on software and/or hardware and improvement projects for all digital services,
Implementing reports to test data integrity and accuracy within the system and ensuring that the agreed corrections are implemented following an agreed timeline,
Ensuring in all time data security -developing plans for increased security across systems, performing security audits, risk assessments and analysis, and making recommendations for enhancing data systems security,
Coordinating with digital services providers and system users the creation of new modules, reports, dashboards, analytical tools as per needed,
Coordinating with colleagues for supply of ERP and satellite data and other digital services data to the digital services providers as per requested,
Managing and tracking the status of all system changes, tests and upgrades tasks,
Ensuring documentation, such as training guides, procedures, and test scripts, are maintained and regularly updated and distributed to all relevant parties,
Collaborating with the digital services providers the digital tools training for initial development,
Coordinating and delivery initial and regular update training sessions for all oilseeds clusters staff as requested by their function,
Compiling as requested by management the requested dataset to provide the necessary information for regular cluster activity update report,
Designing a continuous improvement strategy for the digital tools users. Coordinating and ensuring the implementation of the improvements by all parties,
Supporting procurement team in the software and hardware procurement process.
Efficiency and effectiveness of the support provided to the digital service providers for software design, testing, deployment, maintenance and update,
Software and hardware are maintained/updated within an acceptable timeframe according to the maintenance/update requirement,
Accuracy and relevance of the report as per defined schedule. Timely execution of agreed corrections and their quality/accuracy/precision,
System updates are implemented within an acceptable timeframe according to the system update’s complexity. Reliability of the system (crashes, bugs etc.),
All guides, procedures, tests scripts are updated within 3 days after a major system updates,
Pertinence of the training content. Quality, clarity and simplicity of the developed materials. Number of trainings delivered
All users request are treated within a maximum of one to 3 (1-3) working day according to the importance level of the request,
All users are acquainted with the system within twelve (12) working days after onboarding, major update or else.
Strict surveillance of data security against any malevolent or unwanted sources
5 years of experience of which at least 3 in the sector relevant to the JD (ERP systems / Satellite data management / SAAS application. Experience in agriculture is a plus.
BSC/Msc degree IT Management / Software engineering and/or related engineering fields
