Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for the role of Distribution Expeditor and we are looking for passionate, capable, and competent candidates who are prepared to work with passion and focus.
This role is imperative for the successful operation of the Distribution Planning System. This position ensures an insight into the daily operations by interacting with the drivers to gather planned versus actual trip feedback on each route. His primary objective will be to measure the performance against the plan every day and supply management with performance results to take necessary action.
The Distribution Expeditor will report to the Unit Leader-Distribution.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitoring and reporting driver route performance to Team Leaders and managers for performance against delivery schedules.
- Packaging and presenting incidents of non-compliance in an appropriate format which facilitates corrective action.
- Providing feedback to planners with real-time information to improve the Dynamic Routing functionality.
- Performing daily driver debriefs to establish opportunities to improve planning effectiveness and communicating outcomes and opportunities to planners for updating master data.
- Asset management and care – Manage the daily issuing and receiving of portable handheld devices and printers to drivers, ensuring that the equipment is kept in working condition and that issues are resolved in time.
Skills, Experience & Education
- First Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management/ Accounting/Economics or related field of studies with 2 years logistics experience.
