Internal Auditor

Job Summary

The Internal Auditor is responsible for the development and evaluation of the organization internal control & ensures financial policies procedures are properly implemented.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reporting on time to management where control deficiencies occur, findings and make recommendation to mitigate risk.
• Check and verify the accuracy of the completed accounting and financial transactions.
• Undertake pre audit of the financial performance before yearend audit conducted
• Ensure that all polices are procedures are updated with the government legislation.
• Evaluate and inspect the standard of compliance, work rules, regulations and policies of the organization.
• Access the existing SUN accounting system of the financial recoding and suggest recommendation if any.
• Prepare yearly audit report based on IPSAS
•  Perform other activities as assigned

Job Requirement 

Minimum Requirements

• BA degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance or related fields.
• A  5 years  practical and direct experiences in Internal Audit Position
• Computer knowledge in Accounting Software  and Microsoft Offices
• Knowledge/skill of auditing techniques and principles
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills particularly in English
• NGO experiences on Internal Auditing
• Strong analytical knowledge on accounting & auditing with problem solving ability

Number of position: 1(one)

Responsible to: Country Director

Length of employment: One Year Part time position that checks documents in regular base with possibility of extension based on performance and availability of fund.

Salary and benefits:  Negotiable based on the organization scale

Duty Station:At country office in Addis Ababa
