Job Purpose:
To generate powerful consumer insights and market dynamics proactively identifying actions and key issues and opportunities for profitable business and brand growth.
Main Duties and Responsibility
- Analyses potential market and product gaps across the group’s new and existing portfolio along with value added products.
- Gathers information on competitors, and conducts analysis on their sales, prices and methods of distribution and marketing to thoroughly learn about the competition.
- Works with the aim to automate and/or develop self-service reporting for the leadership teams by consistently managing the data flow from various sources, including internal/external data sets.
- Collects data on candidates and competitors in the marketplace and creates up-to-date organizational charts and talent maps.
- Researches competitor software, financials, marketing, pricing, and sales tactics.
- Attends trade shows and business intelligence events to collect competitor’s data and review market and competitor data to uncover market opportunities and address business issues.
- Establishes a sustainable process for collecting, retrieving, analyzing, interpreting, and automating competition and market data from multiple sources (Internal/External).
- Ensures that internal data, competitive intelligence data and market insights are presented in ways to inform decision making on current and future market and competitor trends that lead to product portfolios delivering effective product, pricing, and placement strategies.
- Creates a monthly market intelligence report highlighting and communicating on risks and opportunities that comes from competitor and market data analysis.
- ensures that product offering and marketing is relevant and focused on corporate’s target consumer.
- provides insights and recommendations with regards to pricing, product mix and timing by leveraging different data sources
- Conceptualizes and runs analyses that generate insights on consumer behavior and customer needs to help further develop and improve our value proposition, concept and marketing strategy.
- Ensures processes, tools, and documentation are in place to support efficient and consistent customer analysis across teams.
- Provides an insightful interpretation of results, pro-actively generates ideas, formulate, and communicates recommendations that drive action.
- Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
About You
- BA or MA in Marketing Management, Business Administration, Management , Economics and related field of studies
Experience:
- 2 years for BA
- 0 years for MA
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; a collaborator and team-player
- Proven ability to synthesize research and analytics.
