Job Summery
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of project activities in Debre Berhan and its IDP camps. ensuring timely delivery of all project components.
- Facilitate coordination between JeCCDO, local Authorities, and Community Stakeholders to achieve project objectives and ensure effective service delivery.
- Ensure the provision of food aid, cash assistance, non-food items, and protection services to targeted IDPs.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and reports to the Project Manager and Donor.
- Promote and implement protection strategies for vulnerable groups, including women, children, and people with disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with Donor requirements, JeCCDO’s policies, and standards related to humanitarian aid and protection.
Job Requirement
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Social Work, or a related field. Masters Degree is preferred
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience coordinating humanitarian or development projects, particularly in IDP or refugee settings.
- Familiarity with Donor-funded projects, especially those financed by International Donors like the Federal Foreign Office.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution, protection mechanisms, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices is an advantage.
Fluency in English and Amharic. Knowledge of additional local languages is a plus
Duty station: Debre Berhan, with travel to IDP camps in the area
Condition of employment-: One year contract with possibility of extension based on performances and continuity of the project.
