BACKGROUND:

Job Overview:
- Under the direct supervision of the Camp manager and with the technical support of the Supply Chain-warehouse officer. Under the direct supervision of Camp Manger in the camp and technical supervision of supply chain head in Assosa, the Storekeeper will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of Camp based warehouse activities and performs the tasks in controlling all assets under the possession of IRC Camp office in a safe and secured manner.
Summary statement of work and Responsibilities
- Understand, implement and / or maintain standard IRC inventory management policies and procedures.
- Manage and document the receipt, handling, storage, release, and reporting of goods through the IRC warehouse(s).
- Monitor shortfall or excess inventory balance at the end of each stack and provide report to the Warehouse Officer.
- The Warehouse activity book (warehouse register book) recording all outgoing and incoming receipts of materials on daily bases and full information’s are recorded on it (delivery, waybill, store release, date, description, vehicle plate number etc.).
- Ensure that all warehouse recording documents are properly filed.
- Materials returned from program are inspected, received, and entered in to record
- Ensure the maintenance of warehouse building(s), fittings and equipment.
- Implement and ensure clear safety procedures.
- Implement and ensure clear loading / unloading procedures, correct stacking and turnover (FIFO) procedures.
- Maintain the Warehouse activity book recording all outgoing and incoming receipts and activities.
- Controls the overall operation of the warehouses.
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the Supply Chain Team.
- All Warehouse materials document are maintained accurately according to IRC filing protocol.
- Ensures that bin cards are separately attached to each item in the warehouse,
- Ensures that bin cards are updated on time.
- Ensure the materials (asset in warehouse and warehouse inventory) are accurately shelved, shelf life is well trucked and all items in the WH are also very neat.
- Ensuring the warehouse compound doors, windows, fences are safe and secure to the warehouse management system, insure and give any update to supply chain.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Promote and actively participate in initiatives and efforts to build team engagement, inclusion, and cohesion in IRC [team/office]
- Foster ongoing learning, honest dialogue, and reflection to strengthen safeguarding and to promote IRC values and adherence to IRC policies.
Job Requirements
- 1 years of relevant work Experience for College Diploma/TVET
- 0 years of related work experience for First Degree In Business management\management accounting/ purchasing, supply management or any related fields of study.
- Knowledge of supply chain operation, general warehouse management systems.
- Excellent in English language.
- NGO experience is a plus.
Reporting
- Prepares and submit updated timely reports to direct Supervisor, Camp Manager and Field Office Assosa Warehouse Officer as specified by IRC reporting policy.
Skills Required
- Basic computer knowledge in word, excel and internet operation.
- NGO experience is a plus.
- Fluent in spoken and written in English and Amharic languages.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.
